The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) hosted a technical workshop for the Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAA) University Participation Program (UPP) on January 18, 2001.  About 25 faculty members met with 6 scientists from the national program.  Five general areas of research were covered:  Accelerators, Fuels, Separations, Systems, and Transmuter.  Most of these presentations are available on this website.  In light of this workshop, five UNLV groups covering each area are being formed.  If you are interested in finding out more about these research areas or joining one of these groups, please contact Dr. Anthony E. Hechanova at hechanova@nevada.edu or Dr. Gary S. Cerefice at cerefice@nevada.edu.

Related Fields of Study:

Accelerators-Physics, Electrical Engineering
Fuels-Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering
Separations-Chemistry, Chemical Engineering
Systems-Advanced Systems Integration Evaluation, Couplings, Tradeoffs, Economics, and Optimization
Transmuter-Material Science and Engineering
